Following the large-scale fires that affected the municipalities of Castanheira from Pera, Figueiró dos Vinhos and Pedrógão Grande, in June 2017, joined the Revita Fund 66 entities, with donations in cash, in goods and in the provision of services. Donations in cash amounts to EUR 5.446.296,31. Given the scale of responsibilities assumed by the Fund, the Ministry of Solidarity and Social Security reinforced the Funding of the Revita Fund EUR 2 500 000, which add to the mentioned value
Within the established framework of cooperation, the Revita Fund, through its Technical Commission, a distribution of houses to recover and rebuild in the three counties affected, but also in the adjacent municipalities of Góis, Pampilhosa, Sertã and Penela.
In this context, the various funds were allocated to the reconstruction of 259 first-rate houses housing, it should be noted that, of this set, 246 are completed..
The Revita Fund is directly in charge of the rehabilitation of 99 houses, with a profile of more demanding intervention since they are mostly integral reconstructions. At the end June 2022, 89 These houses are completed, 5 suspended, 5 on execution. Financial implementation is more phased and paid for dwellings and their equipment, the total value of € 3.103.620.78.
The Board of Directors decided to apply part of the donations of the Revita Fund in the recovery of the the activities of agricultural producers and subsistence agriculture, thereby covering the farmers who have suffered losses more than € 1,053 and less than € 5,000, also due the fires of June 2017 in the municipalities of Figueiró dos Vinhos, Castanheira de Pera and Pedrógão Grande.
In this context, subsidies have been awarded and processed to 1130 agricultural producers, in value total EUR 3.438.007,76 (in March 2022, a cheque was cancelled on circulation, which is why the total of supported agricultural producers is now 1130 and the amount of payments decreased to EUR 3 438 007.76). In this way, a response was given to needs properly identified, not covered by targeted public policy measures areas and population affected by fires, contributing directly to well-being of the population and the revitalization of the affected territories.
